FAQs

  • Yoga Therapy is the therapeutic application of yogic tools to assist you in healing from a specific ailment or injury. It includes tailored movement, mindful techniques, breathing techniques and small habit/lifestyle changes. This is a complimentary therapy and can be engaged with in addition to GP, specialists, allied health and other healing modalities.

In your initial assessment we create your plan for wellbeing.

We begin with discussion about your lifestyle, injuries, ailments, habits and health as well as your goals.

I will then work with you to develop a tailor-made practice for you to alleviate suffering from the specific concern/s you have presented, this will include follow-up/s and a prescribed at-home practice.

  • A private Restorative Session is a treatment of personalised, supportive restorative yoga shapes that includes the use of pillows, blankets and warm, weighted wheat-bags for deep relaxation and calm.

These tools help activate your parasympathetic nervous system for a deep rest response in the body. This is a “ground up” approach and can be excellent for those with busy minds who find it hard to relax or switch off.

Anyone can do a restorative yoga session, they are gentle and accessible for any level of mobility and completely tailored to your individual needs.

  • In a Yoga Therapy session you will have a tailored plan and practise made that is to alleviate suffering from a specific concern you have presented, this will include follow-ups and a prescribed at-home practice.

A private 1:1 restorative session is a single treatment, like a massage, that helps you to access better sleep, feel calmer and increase a sense of wellbeing, the after affects last 24-48 hours on average.

  • Yes! Both Yoga Therapy and Restorative Private sessions are completely pregnancy safe. It’s a wonderful way to access the benefits of yoga during pregnancy in a completely safe, personalised tailored way!

  • Great question! That is because with Yoga Therapy I am working with you to create a treatment plan to address certain concerns and it requires many more hours of preparation and follow up outside of our 75 minutes in-studio together. This includes detailed review of current medical and yoga therapy approaches to certain illness and injuries to ensure I’m creating a suitable, safe practice for you.

We spend more time on the mat in our Restorative Sessions because preparation is less intensive.

Kind Words

  • I completed a 90 minute individual yoga session with Annie yesterday, and I'm still floating around in a cloud of blissful relaxation. The effort she goes to to make the experience perfect and her whole energy is just amazing. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a bit of headspace in their day.
