Restorative Private Sessions
Restorative private sessions for individuals & couples are designed to help you access better rest & provide deep, long-lasting relaxation. These are wonderful for busy people who need support & rest. Also excellent for pregnancy to alleviate pain & fatigue.
What is a private restorative session?
A private restorative session is a 90-minute treatment of personalised, supportive restorative yoga shapes that includes the use of pillows, blankets and warm, weighted wheat-bags for deep relaxation and calm.
These tools help activate your parasympathetic nervous system for a deep rest response in the body. This is a “ground up” approach and can be excellent for those with busy minds who find it hard to relax or switch off.
Anyone can do a restorative yoga session, they are pregnancy-safe, gentle and accessible for any level of mobility and completely tailored to your individual needs.
What to expect at a private restorative session?
This 90 minute session begins with a soothing pot of herbal tea designed to relax you, while we get settled and chat about how you’ve been & what you’re hoping for out of your session.
From there I will give you an overview of what we’ll be doing to provide you with the deepest & most restful experience possible. I’ll then start your relaxation journey with some relaxing movements & mindful breathing exercises before I take you in to a lush hour of deeply supported shapes using bolsters, cushions, blankets & wheat bags.
We conclude our session with a short de-brief, including any suggestions for how you can create more calm at home.
